he does say she will go to big school when she's a big girl and I've had to agree to disagree on that point as I still can't decide where she will go and I would much rather have her at home longer, but baby steps. Here is keira showing off her new little singer....she loves to tinker around with it like her mummy!

the latest....
Well we're not moving overseas which is kind of a relief. The weather has been balmy and beautiful here so a summer spent at home by our pool is much more enticing than a cold winter abroad. My little miss finishes up pre-school this week and hubby has agreed she can be kept at home.....

I am so interested to see how you go with this. Home schooling is a consideration for us too, although school is still two years away for my eldest. The thought of handing over the care of my children to a stranger doesn't sit well with me at all. So I'll be popping in regularly to see how you're going. Best wishes!
Cool sewing machine!! Where did you get it? I'm glad to hear you are not going overseas, would have had to find somewhere else to shop, hubby not so happy xox
Gorgeous! There's no rush with the school stuff, see how you go, what schools are in the neighbourhood, how you feel about them, etc and play it by ear.
Hi, Corrie. I'm a homeschooler, as well. Actually, I was one of those odd people that was homeschooled up until college. My son will be five in a few months. He actually enjoys helping me with my sewing projects, and I was thinking about getting him a little kid's sewing machine (but they're all covered in flowers and Hello Kitty!). Do you and your daughter like the little one you have? I'm thinking it would be a lot safer for my son than sitting on my lap using my big one.
Good for you Corrie. I haven't sent my two to pre-school, because like you I believe they can (and do) learn way more by being at home with me and mimicking what they see. We get out every week to playgroup and the library for story time and I do send them irregularly to a council run occasional care centre(just so I can have some me time). Alot of people think I'm doing my children a disservice - but I can only do what feels right to me!
Oh my, your kids are so cute. I am so inspired by your blog!
